About Andrew McWhinnie

Andrew has been in private practice for over ten years specializing in male sexual health, especially as it relates to the chronic and compulsive use of Internet pornography. He is a qualified risk assessment specialist and has offered court testimony for the defense bar. Andrew earned his Masters Degree in Psychology at Carleton University, in Ottawa. He has authored and co-authored well over 30 articles on topics related to Restorative Justice, Recidivism, and Sex Offender Reintegration methodology. On matters relating to the re-entry of high risk sex offenders, Andrew’s corporate client list includes a variety of government and private correctional agencies in Canada, the United States, Australia, and Great Britain. He is also active in training and preparing community volunteers in Canada and the U.S. for service with Circles of Support and Accountability, an internationally acclaimed sex offender reintegration strategy. He is retained on contract to the Correctional Service of Canada as the National Advisor to the Associate Director General, Chaplaincy Services, Correctional Service of Canada for Circles of Support and Accountability. He is a therapist specializing in male sexual dysfunction. His clinic works only with men who are experiencing difficulties with their sexual behaviour. As well, Andrew works with couples who are experiencing problems in their relationship as a direct result of the male partner's inappropriate sexual behaviour.
